Keith Grey

I qualified in 1982 from University College Hospital London, and have worked in London and Brighton for 15 years prior to setting up Somerhill Dental Practice in 1998.

In 2007 I embarked on a 4 year double masters degree in Prosthodontics at Kings College Hospital, which I completed in 2011 with a distinction. I have a special interest in removable prosthodontics (denture provision). Married with 3 children I live in Hove; I have a keen interest in sports..

Adam Tabor

I qualified from the University of Manchester in 1998. Apart from a spell working in New Zealand I have spent the rest of my time working in General Dental Practice on the South Coast.

I have a wide range of skills meaning that treatments can be tailored to patients' individual needs. I have a special interest in implant dentistry since having completed a course in Harley Street in 2007. I am a member of the Association of Dental Implantology.

I live in Sussex with my wife and 2 children.

Emma Hutchinson

I qualified from Leeds University in 2008 and have completed postgraduate qualifications, gaining Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties in 2010. I have worked in Australia in a private clinic and in the dental hospital setting. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, particularly cosmetic treatments and am able to offer the Inman Aligner and Clear Aligners to straighten teeth.

Outside of dentistry I enjoy spending time with my husband, 3 young children and all sports.

Dominic Jones

I qualified with honours from Cardiff university in 2014, and I have worked in general practice along the south coast, gaining post graduate qualifications in dental care. I have completed exams to gain membership to the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry. Outside of dentistry I am a keen sportsman and enjoy cooking and travelling.

Rich Grey

I qualified from the University of Bristol in 2015 and did two years of Foundation and Core Training in West Sussex, including a year working in the Maxillofacial Unit of Western Sussex Hospitals Trust.

I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, particularly Oral Surgery and Endodontics and I am currently undertaking a masters in Primary Care Dentistry at the University of Kent. I will soon apply for part 2 for membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgeons.

I am a long-suffering Everton fan (thanks to my dad) and play football regularly. I was born and raised in Brighton and Hove and enjoy spending my spare time with my girlfriend, family and friends in Brighton and around the UK.

I work at Somerhill 1 day a month, I enjoy the challenges that dental hygiene can bring, and get a great deal of satisfaction in seeing improvements in patients oral health.

Erika Massey

I qualified fiom St Georges London in 1981, with a CEB Cert in Dental Hygiene.

My role is treating gum disease and the prevention of periodontal disease using appropriate oral hygiene instruction techniques.


Administration

Kate Newman

I have worked for Somerhill dental Practice since it opened in 1998 as Practice manager.

My background is in dental nursing. I have wealth of dental and administration experience and along with the team aim to provide the highest possible standard of care and customer service for all patients.

I enjoy the challenges that running a dental practice brings.

I live in Surrey with my partner and daughter, and enjoy spending time on my allotment.

Jackie Dearing

I have worked with Somerhill Dental Practice since 2003, I have extensive experience in customer service and administration based roles.

I am looking forward to extending my skills base and knowledge in the future dealing with the challenges an expanding business will bring.

I live in Hove with my husband and have two grown up daughters.


Dental Nurses

Michelle Maguire

I qualified in 2010 with a Qual-National cert. NEBDN and started work at Somerhill in 2016.

What gives me job satisfaction? It gives me satisfaction to educate our patients in oral health and to prevent them from needing treatment in the future. I also enjoy assisting in cosmetic treatments and seeing the patients walk away happy with a smile on their face.

What would I be doing if I wasn't working here? I would have loved to retrain to be a midwife or working in a hospital setting in dentistry preferably with children.

Tamara Jones

I started work at Somerhill in November 2012, as a trainee dental nurse. I qualified in 2015 gaining a diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 City and Guilds 2015. I live in Sussex with my young children.

What gives me job satisfaction? Being there for nervous anxious patients, increasing my knowledge and learning new skills.

What would I be doing if I wasn't working here? Working in another dental practice or a hospital setting.

Wendy Clegg

I have worked at Somerhill Dental Practice since 2007, and qualified from Central Sussex College in 2009 with an NVQ level 3 in dental nursing.

I am the current Oral Health Champion and enjoy all aspects of my role.

I live in Sussex with my partner.

What gives me job satisfaction? Knowing that I have done my best when I get home

What would I be doing if I wasn't working here? I would be a lady of leisure

Sophie Smith

I started at Somerhill in 2012 as a sterilisation nurse. I have recently completed my formal training and gained my National Diploma in Dental Nursing NEBDN 2015.

I live in Hove with my partner and enjoy watching Brighton and Hove Albion play.

What gives me job satisfaction? I enjoy doing aesthetic procedures such as white fillings and crowns, and seeing the patient happy with the results, this shows our hard work pays off and gives me job satisfaction.

What would I be doing if I wasn't working here? To be honest I have no idea what I would be doing if I wasn't a dental nurse, I would probably be working with my dad within his company.


Marie Waller

I qualified in 2004 and joined Somerhill in 2008 after working at general dental practices and specialist endodontics.

I have recently taken a 2 year break to travel Asia and work and travel within Australia. I gained experience in different areas of dentistry and spent my time off exploring and visiting the amazing beaches!

What gives me job satisfaction? I like my job because all the friendly staff I work with and they are happy and helpful every day, which makes my job on a day to day basis more enjoyable because we have a great team at somerhill!

What would I be doing if I wasn't working here? If I wasn’t working here I would probably be working in another/ similar health care department maybe as a receptionist.

Cassie Marchant

I started training in Sept 2016 and look forward to passing my NEBDN in Jan 2018, I live in Brighton with my husband and three children.

If I'm not at college at the weekends I'm at the beach with my family.

What gives me job satisfaction? I love learning new skills every day, its hard work but that's what life is about. When I see nervous patients come in and leave with a smile on their face, makes me smile too - especially children as having three of my own.

What would I be doing if I wasn't working here? If I wasn't at Somerhill, I'd still be working with Dementia patients as I love listening and chatting to them.
